The Obey Clothing propaganda movement continues to gain awareness in. This time round at Glastonbury Festval where there was over 170,000 people on the site during the festival weekend, resulting in an even bigger Obey art presence than last year.
The main art worked wall was situated in the Shangri-La area of Glastonbury, containing five 10ft square LP inspired artwork pieces from Shepard Fairey’s Revolutions Series. Shepard has only ever pasted up a selection of the Revolutions pieces once before in Austin, Texas for this years South By South West music festival. To install them at Glastonbury was the obvious next choice.
Not to forget BB2 coverage of BB1 radio DJ Zane Lowe championing an Obey t-shirt. The Obey art work prices has seen some great pictures posted Facebook and Twitter by festival goers. Check out the great images below…

The Obey Clothing propaganda message continues to gain momentum in the UK. Most recently with the ‘Four Cities’ exhibition hosted by Black Rat Projects which “will reflect on the work of four artists whose experience of urbanity propelled them to create within their environment in similar ways. With new works by represented artist Swoon, and secondary market works sourced from Os Gemeos, Banksy and Shepard Fairey, BRP will map the parameters of the street art movement across continents through the voices that emerged simultaneously as the strongest of their respective city scenes.”
