New Summer Straw Hats

Just in case you were in any doubt, we’re here to tell you that straw hats are well and truly back on the map. No longer reserved for the festivals or your summer holiday, the straw hat is now a massive style statement and is seen up and down the streets of London come rain or shine.

Straw bowler hat, straw trilby hat, straw boater – whatever the style, as long as it’s straw, it’s in. With that in mind, Urban Excess has lined up a massive collection of straw hats, which means there is something to suit everyone, so there are no excuses for not embracing this trend!

The Brixton Castor Straw Trilby is back for 2010 and in addition, they’ve also brought out the Brixton Pack Straw Bowler Hat, a straw bowler hat featuring that all important feather detailing and the Brixton Drifter, a Boater Hat complete with the classic boater band and all the usual Brixton bells and whistles.  A clean contemporary edgy update on the bowler and boater hat, these are definitely on our must-have list.

For fun in the sun or on a moonlit night, the Goorin Hammond Straw Hat is created from a lightweight, woven Paper Straw with a flip-up Stingy Brim and contrasting double grosgrain band. A hat that will be in your collection for years to come.

Going for the preppy look? Our UE. Oxford Straw Trilby Hat is just the ticket. This hat is our very own natural flat weave straw built around a classic trilby brim block with classic college ribbon. We’ve also got a range of straw stingy brim trilbies along with classic natural straw boater hats and widebrim straw hats.
