SE Bikes racing history started over 35 years ago in 1970 when teenage entrepreneur Scot Breithaupt began promoting “Pedal-Cross” races in Long Beach, CA. Today their roots are still in BMXing and racing, but they are now famous for their SE single speed collection.
For 2009 SE Bikes continues to push forward, and whereas the 2008 models where just single speed, 2009 sees the addition of a flip flop hub, allowing for a quick change between the two options.
The SE Fixed Gear Range starts with the entry-level Draft Lite. At £300 nicker, they are the possibly the best value entry level Single Speed bike on the market today and are available in the stealth Midnight Black and Punk Pink.
If you’re after something with a bit more pedigree, then either the Lager or Premium Ale is the urban designed single speed bike that has the spec for you. Whilst the Lager features a 100% Cr-Mo frame and Tektro brakes, SE Bikes have thrown everything including the kitchen sink at the at the Premium Ale, which features a 100% Cr-Mo Lugged Design Double Butted Main Frame and Pazzaz Alloy Double Butted Track Bar.
